Firstly, let's begin by discussing the band, The Pavilion. These guys are just starting out, but I must say I'm impressed.
Meet the alt-indie rock band from Bristol, led by the one and only Rhys Smedley, with Iwan Morris shredding on guitar, Daniel O'Conner slapping the bass, and Joshua Vallis banging on the drums like there's no tomorrow. These energetic lads are on a mission to make a name for themselves, ready to rock and roll their way into fame and fortune. Get ready, because The Pavilion is about to skyrocket from zero to hero faster than you can say "encore!"
Their inspiration is like a mixtape of awesomeness, featuring bands like The Backseat Lovers, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Inhaler—all legends in the indie music universe that they're about to conquer. The Pavilion currently has just under 2000 monthly listeners on Spotify, but as indie music fans with impeccable taste (like yours truly) start to stumble upon them, those numbers are sure to skyrocket faster than a cat on catnip.
They have previously crafted tracks like "Against the Tide" and "City Lights," both of which showcase their remarkable ability to blend intricate melodies with thought-provoking lyrics. These earlier works have established a solid foundation for their evolving musical style, resonating deeply with their audience and garnering critical acclaim. However, their latest EP, which was released on Friday, August 29th, represents a significant leap forward in both artistry and production quality, truly elevating their work to new heights. The EP features a diverse range of sounds and themes, reflecting their growth as musicians and their willingness to experiment with different genres and influences. This collection of tracks not only showcases their signature sound but also introduces new elements that highlight their artistic evolution and commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
This young band is definetly something you dont want to miss! Since their debut in 2023, they've been electrifying Bristol with their performances. They've played at Rough Trade, The Louisiana, The Exchange, HMV, The Golden Lion, The Thunderbolt, and Blue Lagoon—and that's just the beginning! There's plenty more exciting events in store for all you devoted fans, so get ready!
